A grown-up check.
Purchases, Settings and links out of the app sit behind a quick sum for a grown-up. It’s a speed bump for small hands, not a lock. For a real lock, use Screen Time and Ask to Buy on your device. If a child made a purchase without a grown-up’s say, report it to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and write to us as well, and we’ll help you ask.

Family Sharing.
It works with both the monthly and the yearly plan, so the rest of your Apple family group can open the library on their own devices. Apple’s rules decide who is in the group.
Free to start.
The first book is free. A monthly or yearly subscription opens the library, and the yearly plan starts with a free trial for new subscribers (a week at the moment). Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in your device’s Settings.
